When it comes to your skin, the monsoons are done playing their part and it is the turn of autumn now.

#1 Cleanse Like A Pro

Cleansing your skin is really important. If you’re wearing makeup, remove it with a makeup remover first. Then, cleanse your face with a nice rich cleanser to get rid of all the dirt. Also, don’t forget to cleanse your neck as it is equally important to do so.
#2 Exfoliate Twice A Week

The weather can cause your skin to dry up, leaving a lot of dead skin cells on top of your skin. If you don’t get rid of them, chances are that they might lead to an infection. Invest in a good quality scrub or an exfoliating face mask. Exfoliate your skin at least twice a week to get rid of all the dead skin cells as well as the bacteria. Be gentle though, and make sure you cover every part of your face.
#3 Use a toner

A toner is like a deep cleanser for your face. After cleansing your face, use a hydrating toner without fail. The toner opens up your pores, deeply cleanses your skin and removes any residual dirt. Not only this, but the toner can also shrink your skin’s pores, giving you tighter and more supple skin.
Make sure that your toner is alcohol-free though!
#4 Take Steam On Your Face

This is one of the most important steps of any autumn skincare routine. Once you’re done with applying the toner, take steam onto your face. This shall be no less than a spa treatment for your face as the hot steam will open up all your pores and give your face that blinding glow. You can use a steamer if you have one or even place your face at a distance over a bowl or tub of hot boiling water and cover your head with a towel. Be extremely careful and make sure that you don’t burn yourself.
#5 Moisturize Your Skin

After a nice steam treatment, pat your face dry with a cotton cloth and apply a moisturizer onto your face and the neck region. Moisturizing is the key to a healthy and hydrated skin. If you have oily skin, you can even opt for a light moisturizer. Don’t skip this step entirely though!
#6 Lip Balm is a Must

The humidity outside is responsible for the drying of your lips and for making them chapped. The only way to combat chapped lips is by befriending a lip balm. It moisturizes your lips and keeps them soft and plump. You can even use petroleum jelly if you’re out of lip balm.
#7 Switch to Hydrating Serums & Face Oils

If you have really dry skin, a normal skin care routine just won’t do it for you. Luckily, there are serums and hydrating face oils that can help you out!
These serums and oils not only penetrate deep within your skin, giving you a healthy glow, but also repair damaged skin cells. Invest in a high-end serum that is also hydrating, and you’ll soon notice the difference yourselves!
