The mandatory lockdown has forced people to make necessary lifestyle changes. One of the biggest ones is that most of us now have to work from home. While the limited resources pose challenges on their own, the lack of human interaction can take a further toll on our mood. It is so important to keep doing the things that make us happy, keep us healthy and give us some form of engagement. I mean, sure we can Netflix and chill-out, but that can get boring real soon too. Team BB has its own way of keeping themselves upbeat while in quarantine.

Let’s see what they’ve been up to these days!

Is there anything better than snuggling up with a good book? Lisabelle agrees, “If there’s one thing I don’t find the time to do as a busy working mom, it’s read. The lockdown has come as a blessing in disguise, causing me to slow down and take time to read and even pamper myself. The extra hour or two I get, now that I don’t have to travel to work, is something I’ve been putting to good use. Funnily enough, I’m currently reading a book called Take The Day Off. I’m determined to walk out of quarantine with that glow!”

For Niyati, working from home is all about rejuvenating from within. She revealed, “ I make mint tomato and palak juice which is great for the skin. Palak - contains vitamin A - good to clear pimples, acne and retains moisture in the skin. Tomato on the other hand - inflammation, sunburns etc.”. Yum!

Sohini has a pretty simple philosophy when it comes to keeping her mood upbeat. She revealed, “WFH can be stressful at times, you have to agree. We often fail to take care of ourselves during these times, well when was the last time you actually had some water? Most of us have no answer to this question because we're all dehydrated! One thing I don't forget to keep with me on my ‘at-home’ work desk is a bottle of water. Hydration is very important and shouldn't be ignored at all, drink your water ladies!”

Urvi likes time in the sun and knows how to make the best of the lockdown. She confessed, “I’m definitely making the most of this time by waking up early, stretching for a little bit and then plonking myself on the sofa with my laptop to get some much-needed vitamin D from the sun. Oh, and I also love taking tiny breaks in between to read a couple of pages!”

Nicole likes to kill her boredom with fun beauty content available online. She revealed, “It's been two weeks of WFH so far with 3 more to go. I keep my sanity by treating my hair to a champi every now and then. Not to mention, spending my evenings bingeing on makeup tutorials by Jeffrey Star and Nikkietutorials.”

For me, these 3 weeks is all about falling back in love with my natural hair. I style my hair every day and to keep it out of my face on hot days, I started them so they’ll have. All that heat styling has taken its toll, and I intend to get my natural texture back, healthy and shining like before. All the oiling, masking and TLC keeps me pretty busy; it is also a simple pick-me-up at the end of the day. Nothing can be better than a hair massage to calm those nerves!"
