Keep calm and celebrate Rakhi. Hell no! Raksha Bandhan is that time of the year when I’m pampered with Rakhi gifts from bhaiya and TBH, I’m expecting a beauty basket with all my favourites (Check out what’s on my beauty wish list) and of course, a life-long promise of protection. There’s no way I’m keeping calm. But this year’s a little different too, in that I’m making a little promise to myself... or rather to my skin. I think you should too.
While a fun day with my sibling is on the cards, I’m also taking a moment to show my skin some TLC and vowing to protect it forever. I owe it that much. Scroll down to know the five promises I’m making to my skin this Raksha Bandhan. Go on, and make these vows your own!

I promise to never step out without SPF
I get it; the sun is not my BFF and the last thing you need is to land up with pigmentation, a sunburn or a tan. So, I make a commitment to never go outdoors without slathering a good amount of sunscreen all over my face and body to keep those harmful UV rays away.
I promise to correct my diet and stay away from junk food
Yes, I’ve been guilty of bingeing on French fries and soda in the past, and have seen you break out the next morning. So, this Raksha Bandhan, I vow to eat as healthy as I possibly can and include fruits, veggies and enough fibre in my diet. Skin, you’ll be glowing by Diwali for sure.
I promise to follow my skincare routine
No more sleeping with makeup on and no more skipping my night time skincare routine. I know you need and deserve proper care and so I promise to religiously follow my skincare routine, so you look and feel healthy.
I promise to drink more water
I know I need to drink enough water to keep you healthy and glowing and yet I always forget. But that changes now! I promise to keep you happy and hydrated. I will make it a habit to gulp down at least 6 glasses of water (if not 8) everyday. I’m serious.
I promise to get my beauty sleep
Yes, even if I haven’t caught up with the latest episodes of , my book is too thrilling to put down or I haven’t spoken to my BFF all day. I will make it a point to get a good night’s rest and not wake up with dark circles, dullness and eye bags. Promise!
