Your face is not the only thing that bears the brunt of all the stress in the weeks leading up to the wedding; the stress can take a toll on your body too. Fortunately, there is not a lot you need to undertake when it comes to bridal body care — a bit of exfoliation followed by proper hydration and protection, and you are ready to walk down the aisle in beautiful, even-toned skin. To help you out, we’ve put together a proper routine that will help you achieve just that. Check it out…
- 01. Let’s start with cleansing…
- 02. Moving on to exfoliation…
- 03. Essential moisturisation
- 04. Hand and foot care
01. Let’s start with cleansing…

Your regular body soap is not going to cut it when it comes to your daily cleansing needs. Plus, soaps can be pretty harsh on the skin, stripping its natural oils and leaving it super dry. Switch to a soap-free formula like the Pears Naturale Brightening Pomegranate Bodywash instead. Infused with the goodness of glycerin, brightening pomegranate and rose water extract, this daily cleanser will leave your skin visibly even-toned and oh-so-soft!
02. Moving on to exfoliation…

Exfoliation is equally essential for your body as it is for your face; this step sloughs off the dead skin cells and facilitates better absorption of skincare products. It also evens out the skin by getting rid of dry patches to reveal fresh skin underneath. So exfoliate your body using a gentle yet effective formula like the Dove Exfoliating Body Polish Scrub with Crushed Macadamia and Rice Milk at least twice a week.
03. Essential moisturisation

Since it is a bridal body care time, you might be going for professional body polishes and peels that help you get that envious glow. However, all of these procedures can take its toll on your skin, which needs to be hydrated and protected at all costs. Most professional peels make your skin sensitive to the sun, so make sure your daily lotion has an SPF in it. One of our all-time faves is the Vaseline Healthy Bright Sun + Pollution Protection Body Lotion SPF 30. Infused with pro vitamins like C and E, this lightweight, non-greasy formula will not come in the way of multiple outfit changes, while caring for your skin intensively.
04. Hand and foot care

Since they are the most exposed part of your body, your hands and feet do need an extra dose of TLC to keep looking lovely. Plus, all those relaxing mani-pedis need to be maintained at least till the big day. Some of our favourite hand and foot care products for the season are the Vaseline Derma Care Cracked Foot Repair Cream and the Vaseline Anti-Bacterial Hand Cream, for soft, germ-free hands and crack-free feet!
