Who doesn’t love a sheet mask session, right? They are hassle-free, relaxing AF and a quick skin treatment. The only sad thing is that you have to throw it out in one single use. Well, not entirely! You know that excess serum left over in your sheet mask packet? You can use it and reap some added skin benefits.
Here are three ways in which you can use your sheet mask leftovers and get more bang for your buck.
Use as an after-mask serum
Massaging your skin with the leftover serum after you’re done sheet-masking can help lock the moisture and make your skin feel plump and hydrated. Wash your face and pat dry. Take the leftover product and massage it onto your skin. Rinse again and follow up with a moisturiser.
Unlike clay and cream face masks, you cannot apply your sheet mask on your neck area. That’s where your excess product comes into the picture. Rub it on your neck, hands and chest, particularly on the dry areas and wash off when you remove your sheet mask.
Make a DIY mask
If you have a lot of product left in the packet, you can DIY a sheet mask of your own. Refrigerate the packet and simply drop a dry cotton sheet mask in it whenever you want to use it next. Let the dry sheet soak up the product for a few minutes and use as usual.
