Since the time micellar water hit the market, it has proven to be a blessing for all the lazy girls out there. From removing every last bit of makeup, dirt, dust and other impurities to its amazing no-rinse formula, what’s not to love about this product, right?
But other than removing makeup and cleansing your skin, this IT beauty product has a ton of other uses too. Curious much? Below are some really unexpected yet mind-blowing ways to use micellar water that will make your beauty routine so much simpler.
Before we go on to that, if you’re looking for a great micellar water to add to your beauty routine, we’re in love with the newly launched Pond’s Vitamin Micellar Water that comes in three variants - Brightening Rose, Hydrating Aloe Vera and D-Toxx Charcoal.
- Fix cracked powder
- As a toner
- Remove false lashes
- Clean your makeup brushes
- Refresh skin on the go
- Get rid of makeup stains
Fix cracked powder

Every time a pressed powder, compact, eyeshadow, etc. breaks, a tiny piece of your heart breaks with it. But you don’t need to throw it away because your micellar water’s going to come in handy. All you need to do is, pour a few drops of micellar water onto the cracked powder and smooth it into the cracks using the back of a spoon. Then leave it to dry overnight and voila! Quite simple, isn’t it?
As a toner

Micellar water can also be used as a toner. Since it helps to draw out dirt and oil from the skin and rinse your pores, it acts as a great cleanser. The lightweight formula cleanses your skin without stripping off the natural oils and has similar ingredients as the ones found in a toner. After cleansing, simply douse a cotton ball with micellar water and swipe it all over your face and then go on with the rest of your skin regimen.
Remove false lashes

Every girl loves the drama that comes with wearing false lashes, but removing them is a completely different story. But this is where your micellar water comes in handy. To take off your falsies painlessly, simply soak a cotton pad or q-tip in micellar water and smooth it across your lash line. This will help to loosen the eyelash glue and make the lashes come off a lot more easily.
Clean your makeup brushes

If you don’t clean your makeup brushes regularly, then they turn into a breeding ground for bacteria. Product build-up, oil and germs transferred from your fingers can contaminate brushes and cause breakouts. But here’s an easy way to clean your makeup brushes – use micellar water. Pour about two inches of micellar water into a bowl, dip in the bristles and swirl them around to release build-up. Use a paper towel to remove any lingering bits, and allow the brushes to dry completely on a clean hand towel.
Refresh skin on the go

Always find yourself reaching for a face mist for a quick pick-me-up? Well, here’s an alternative you’re going to love – micellar water. Fill up a small spray bottle with micellar water and spray it on your face like you would a normal face mist. Since the formula doesn’t need to be washed away, it offers a soothing boost and can actually help skin stay clean.
Get rid of makeup stains

Notice a foundation stain on the collar of your shirt before a big presentation? No problem, there’s micellar water to your rescue. Simply dab a few drops of the micellar water on the spot. But ensure that you do this step while the spot is still relatively fresh.
Note: If your shirt is made of silk or any other delicate fabric, please do not use this hack.
