While there are so many ways to get rid of body hair, waxing remains the most reliable and sought after method. Yes, it is painful, but the result is smooth, hair-free skin for weeks! Brows, underarms, sidelocks - you can wax pretty much every part of your body whenever you wish to, right? Well, not really.

The only problem with waxing is you have to wait for your hair to be long enough for the wax to uproot it. And, no woman has figured out the right time to wax each part of their body… until now!

We have created a timeline to simplify your waxing sessions. Are you ready for your smoothest skin yet?

Face

Face

Facial hair such as brows, upper lips, side locks and chin hair grow much faster than the rest of the body. Since hair growth there is faster and much visible, it is obvious that facial hair would require more frequent visits to the salon. Since the skin on your face is delicate and sensitive, it is best to stay away from DIY methods and get help from a professional. Depending on the thickness and growth cycle, you must visit the salon every 2-3 weeks.

Underarms

Underarms

Consistently waxing your underarm area can prevent in-growth hair as well as reduce the thickness and growth of hair. Every two weeks is an ideal time to get rid of underarm hair. This way, the hair will be long enough for the wax to stick to and be removed from the roots.

Bikini area

Bikini area

Waxing this area of your body can be quite tricky. If the hair is too short, the wax won’t be able to hold the follicle and if you leave it too long, you will need to trim it. To save yourself from this ordeal, book a bikini wax appointment every four weeks; the hair growth in this area is rather slow. However, for some women, especially those who have recently switched to waxing their bikini area, will have to make more frequent visits, maybe every two weeks. Your hair needs to be at least ½ inch long down there.

Legs

Legs

The growth of hair on your legs is probably the slowest, and it needs to be at least ¼ inch long to get easily uprooted. Anything shorter than that will make the waxing session more painful. Visiting the salon every 4-5 weeks is enough to get smooth legs. Additionally, you should know that waxing is more painful during your periods, so time your sessions accordingly.
