Who would say no to a relaxing foot massage at the end of a long and tiring day? At this point, all you want to do is pamper your poor feet for lugging you around all day, that too in heels. Summer heat and sweat can leave your feet tired, flaky and smelling like, well feet! Obviously then, they deserve some serious TLC and a nice scrub to do away with the dirt, sweat and get all pretty and soft.

Here are 3 DIY foot scrubs that you can treat your feet with this summer...

Aloe vera and honey both work beautifully on moisturising your feet. Aloe vera soothes tired feet and camphor oil heals any rash or irritation. Bath salt helps remove the dead skin cells and give you smoother, softer feet.

You need:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
  • 2-3 drops camphor essential oil
  • 1 cup bath salt

Take one cup of bath salt of your choice and add one tablespoon of honey and one table spoon of aloe vera gel into it. Add a few drops of camphor essential oil and rub your feet with the mixture. Rinse and apply a foot cream.

You need:

  • 1 cup of grounded coffee
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons coarse sugar

Lavender oil is antiseptic and anti-inflammatory which makes it excellent healer of sore feet. It also kills bacteria and thus the foul smell, and leaves your feet smelling nice and felling smooth and soft. Sea salt on the other hand exfoliates skin and removes dead and dry skin.

You need

  • 2 tablespoons lavender essential oil
  • 1 cup sea salt

Mix both the ingredients and apply on the damp feet. Gently massage and leave the scrub on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse it off and pat dry. Apply some lavender oil on feet before going to bed for soft and moisturised feet.
