Cooling coconut, kiwi and sea salt summer scrub

For the days when your skin feels particularly overheated and itchy, this scrub will provide some much-needed respite. Brimming with vitamin E, kiwi helps moisturise skin. Enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants, this fruit enhances collagen production, maintains elasticity and fights signs of aging. Coconut oil increases hydration, reduces water loss and speeds up wound healing, to reveal smooth and glowing skin.
You will need:
1 kiwi (skin removed)
¼ cup coconut organic oil
A few drops of peppermint essential oil
1 cup mineral sea salt
How to use:
Step 01: Using a fork mash the kiwi until it form a smooth paste.
Step 02: Add the mineral sea salt, coconut oil and peppermint oil to this and blend well
Step 03: Apply it to your skin and rub it in circular motion for smooth skin
Hibiscus and grapefruit salt scrub

Hibiscus is also known as the ‘Botox’ plant, thanks to its ability to increase skin elasticity and retain skin moisture. This scrub also has added anti-inflammatory and moisturising benefits of jojoba oil to make your skin feel thoroughly hydrated and conditioned. You’ll be left with a tropical glow and skin that is baby smooth.
You will need:
2 hibiscus tea bags
1/4 cup jojoba oil
1 cup pink Himalayan salt
10 drops grapefruit essential oil
How to use:
Step 01: Mix together the Himalayan salt, jojoba oil and grapeseed oil in a mixing bowl
Step 02: Cut open the hibiscus tea bags and add the contents to the bowl and mix everything together with a spoon
Step 03: Apply to skin, scrub and rinse. Or allow it to sit on the skin for several minutes prior to rinsing for added benefit
Mango and pomegranate scrub

Mango butter has amazing moisturising properties and it works for all skin types. The astringent properties in mango restrict excess sebum production and keep skin matte. If you are dealing with acne, both mango and pomegranate are great for soothing inflammation. The alpha-hydroxy acids in mangoes also provide chemical exfoliation that helps rejuvenate dull and dry skin.
You will need:
½ cup mashed mango
1 tablespoon pomegranate oil
1/4 cup coconut oil
½ cup sugar
Peel of 1 small orange
Any essential oil of your choice
How to use:
Step 01: In a mixing bowl, add the mashed mango, pomegranate oil and coconut oil and mix until you get a smooth paste.
Step 02: To the mixture, add a few drops of your favourite essential oil
Step 03: Zest the orange peel and add it to the mixture
Step 04: Finally, add sugar
Step 05: Apply to skin, scrub and rinse. Or allow it to sit on the skin for several minutes prior to rinsing for added benefit
