Apart from tasting delicious—who doesn’t love their tangy-sweet flavour? —the numerous benefits of citrus fruits make them a great skin care ingredient.
Grapefruit

While you may or may not like the strong taste of this fruit, you must admit that it is rich in nutrients that will give you glowing skin. Apart from being rich in vitamin C which boosts your immunity, grapefruits are anti-inflammatory and can help heal chapped skin. Squash it and use it with curd for an effective face mask.
Make a paste with 1 tbsp. grapefruit pulp and ½ tbsp. curd and apply on your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse with cold water. You can use this once or twice a week for softer skin.
Orange

The variant of this fruit that is available in winters tastes particularly sweet and makes for a great squash ingredient. Oranges are rich in fibre which help flush out the toxins from your body, giving your skin a glow from within. But this citrus fruit has as much benefits when used topically as it has internally.
Orange peels contain more goodness that the fruit itself. The calcium in them gets rid of dead skin, leaving you with brighter and youthful skin. Dry the peels of 1-2 oranges in the sun for 3 days then grind them to a powder. You can use this powder in other face masks or just add water to make a paste out of it and use it as a face mask.
Lemon

Is lemonade your go-to drink for instant refreshment? Then why not make lemon your skin’s go-to ingredient for flawless complexion? Lemon is the most popular ingredient when it comes to skin care. It contains antiseptic properties which remove bacteria from your skin and reduce your dark spots.
Want the best out of this fruit? Just cut a lemon into half and massage one half of it onto the dark spots and blemishes. Rinse off with cold water after 5 minutes. Do it as many times as you want for even skin tone.
Sweet lime

Sweet lime or mosambi as it is popularly known makes for a great juice. But did you know that the vitamin C in it boosts your immunity and improves blood circulation? The antioxidants in sweet lime rejuvenate dull skin, which is a common concern during the winters.
Take a few drops of sweet lime juice on a cotton ball and rub it over your face and lips for radiant skin.
