From being a friend and a confidante, to being our diet planner and beauty expert; our mothers play zillion roles in our lives! Ah, what would we ever do without our moms?
Our mothers definitely have the gift of being the gatekeepers to endless pearls of wisdom. Growing up, we were all introduced to the world of beauty, thanks to our moms. Growing up, we’ve seen them transform their looks with a single swipe of red lipstick and working on their skin health by following a cleansing routine religiously.
While you obviously don’t need a “special” day to thank your mom for being the best human in your life; let’s at least take this day to count and celebrate some of the most valuable beauty lessons we’ve learnt from our mothers.
- #LessonNo.1 Never go to bed without cleansing
- #LessonNo.2 Oiling your hair is important
- #LessonNo.3 Moisturise daily
- #LessonNo.4 Hydrate enough
- #LessonNo.5 You are already beautiful, makeup is just to have fun with
#LessonNo.1 Never go to bed without cleansing
Even while growing up, our moms always washed us clean before putting us to bed. That’s when we realised the importance of thorough cleansing. Our skin goes through so much from all the grime and pollution; precisely why, a good cleansing routine is a must.
#LessonNo.2 Oiling your hair is important
Who doesn’t remember “maa ke haath ki champi”? We’ve all been pampered with oil massages that our mums very lovingly gave us during our growing up years. Well, thanks to those champis, we still don’t forget to oil our hair on a regular basis. Oiling is one of the best ways to retain the moisture and add shine to your hair.
#LessonNo.3 Moisturise daily
We are introduced to body lotions very early in life. Body moisturisers are a part of even a new born’s skin care routine. And therefore, even today we continue to moisturise our skin daily without fail, thanks to our moms! The benefits of moisturising are more than you can imagine. A good moisturiser will not just keep your skin feeling soft and supple but also give it the much-needed boost of hydration.
#LessonNo.4 Hydrate enough
According to our mothers, we still don’t drink enough water! While growing up we didn’t realise the importance of hydrating ourselves enough, we now know that water is the secret to glowing skin. Once you start drinking enough water on a daily basis, you’ll see improvement in the quality of your skin texture.
#LessonNo.5 You are already beautiful, makeup is just to have fun with
While our mothers introduced us to all the beautiful lipstick shades and nail polishes, she always stressed on the fact that cosmetics are for fun and don’t define your beauty. Yes, we did take her word on that!
