What are bubble masks?

What are bubble masks?

Sheet masks are now passé, ‘coz bubble masks are taking over Instagram, one selfie at a time. The trend was introduced back in 2016, but has picked up only now. These masks are meant to give your skin a healthy glow. They’re made from everyone’s favourite skincare ingredients—activated charcoal and clay. Additional ingredients are also added for the masks to cater to a variety of skin types and concerns. It’s formulation is such that there’s a reaction that takes place when the mask comes in contact with air—this causes it to bubble up! Oxygen is pumped into these masks when they’re in liquid form and then the mask is sealed and packaged.

Benefits

Benefits

These super fun bubble masks offer a variety of different benefits to your skin. Think of them as an alternative to your painful blackhead removing process during a cleanup, or pore strips. The bubbling of the mask removes the dirt and grime gently—instead of stripping it off the layers of your skin, it lifts it up. These masks also help remove excess oils from your skin without over drying it—this helps maintain the perfect oil balance in your skin. The bubbles also gently exfoliate your skin, so if you’re someone with sensitive skin and always find yourself running away from exfoliation (which you shouldn’t, BTW), trust a bubble mask to do the job!

As the name suggests, these masks give your skin an extra boost of oxygen, which is great to speed up the collagen production. The result is a supple, glowing, healthy-looking visage!

For an overall healthy complexion and hydrated skin that’s free of impurities, you can incorporate bubble masks in your skincare routine and while you’re at it, don’t forget to take a selfie for the ‘gram!
