Did you know that the antibacterial and cooling properties of aloe vera can actually reduce skin rashes like prickly heat? Moreover, aloe vera is an intensely hydrating agent that will work its magic on inflammation and redness. All you have to do is squeeze out the gel from an aloe leaf and apply the gel on the affected areas.
Baking soda
Baking soda is known to remove dead cells and bacteria that often clogs your pores. This act prevents sweat from getting trapped. Moreover, due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it prevents itching. Add ½ cup baking soda in lukewarm water. Add a few drops of tea tree oil in this. Use this mix in your bathing water for best results.
Neem
When it comes to curing prickly heat, nothing works better than good ol’ neem leaves. This is because neem is an extremely powerful antibacterial agent, which implies it can soothe itching—one of the worst parts about suffering from prickly heat. Just add a few neem leaves to your bathing water every day to get rid of prickly heat.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has the power to balance the skin’s pH levels. Moreover, it also reduces irritation on the skin. Dilute 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar in 2 tablespoons of water. Apply this solution with a cotton pad on the affected areas and let it dry.
Cucumber
Cucumber is a naturally cooling ingredient and hence, has the power to cure prickly heat. Moreover, it’s enriched with Vitamin A and Vitamin C—nutrients essential for the health of your skin. To cure prickly heat with cucumber, grind a cucumber and then squeeze the pulp to remove the juice. Apply this mix on prickly heat.
