Kareena Kapoor Khan made our hearts skip a beat as she played the most gorgeous muse to Anamika Khanna for the Grand Finale of Lakmé Fashion Week S/R 2018. While her black number looked stunning on her svelte frame, a special mention goes out to those gigantic cuff earrings that dialed up the drama in this look. But backstage makeup experts deserve a roaring applause for that helluva makeup look—one that was the definition of ‘reinvent nudes’— Lakmé’s makeup theme for this season. We saw the most intense cat eye, a nude visage and pale glossy lips—makeup that got an 11 on 10 from us. Want to try this look yourself? Scroll down…

Base

You can’t do justice to Kareena’s beauty in words. But we’re going to try anyway. Bebo has enviable skin—supple, soft and the kind that looks radiant even when she’s sans makeup. Naturally then, she gets her glow from regularly moisturising her skin. To get her makeup from the Grand Finale of Lakmé Fashion Week, you need to first prep with a moisturiser that works for your skin type. Only then can you move to a foundation like the Lakmé Absolute Skin Natural Mousse – Hydrating, which will lend you coverage and hydration. Blend using a foundation brush and make sure you have a clean canvas to play with the rest of your face.

Eyes

We’re just going to say it—our jaws dropped when we saw this look. Not that it hasn’t happened before—we’re awestruck every single time we spot Bebo (usually!) But this one was all the more special, especially for us makeup enthusiasts who witnessed the most fierce and stunning makeup in front of us. Bebo has beautiful light eyes. Add to that cut crease makeup, severe winged eyes, smokey eye drama and lots of kohl—all of this came together to create the most perfect eye makeup for Bebo at Lakmé Fashion Week.

How do you achieve it? We’re not going to say it’s simple but with a little effort, you too can get Bebo’s dramatic eye makeup from Lakmé Fashion Week. For starters, use a peach eyeshadow as your base all over your lids and crease. Now, go with the cut crease—a very visible technique she’s worn in this look. Use the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal, Bronze Rust and draw a curve all along your crease. Next, go for the bronze from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette, Nude Beach. Use an eyeshadow brush and apply the pigment all over your lids blending it with your crease line. Make sure you blend or the cut crease will end up looking overtly harsh.

Now, it’s time to intensify the drama with the overtly thick cat eye. Use the Lakmé Eyeconic Liner Pen to draw a cat eye and ensure that your flick is thick and goes much beyond the outer corner of your eyes. When that’s dried up, use the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal, Black and colour your lower lashline with it connecting this to your flick, which means this application needs to be as thick as the liner on top. Now, to intensify the black on your lower and upper lash line, use an angled brush and apply black eyeshadow over the liner and the kajal while smoking it out a wee bit. Next, use the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal, Silver Slate to highlight the inner corners of your eyes. Finally, finish off with the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes, Black on your upper and lower lashes.

Cheekbones

To get Kareena’s razor sharp cheekbones, create an intense contour using the bronzer side of the Lakmé Absolute Moonlit Highlighter. Use it on the cheekbones, jawline and your forehead (for those of you who have a bigger forehead).

Blush

Since this look from Lakmé Fashion Week is mostly nude, there’s a very pale hint of pink on the cheeks. For this, swipe your blush brush over the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Shimmer Brick, Pink and apply it on the apples of your cheeks but don’t intensify the colour.

Lips

Since this primarily revolves around Lakmé’s theme of ‘reinventing nudes’ the lips were kept peachy nude toned. For that, we suggest you try the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color, Soft Beige. And ta-da! You’re all set to flaunt Kareena Kapoor’s look from Lakmé Fashion Week!
