- Step 1
Rely on a 100 per cent cotton pad
Remember that anything apart from 100 per cent cotton might irritate your eyes. Make sure you store your cotton pads in a jar, away from any kind of moisture so there’s no bacteria on them.
- Step 2
Pick a bi-phased makeup remover
Keep in mind that bi-phased makeup removers are part oil and part water. So they’re not too oily yet they do the job of removing makeup perfectly, especially when it’s something as strong as waterproof mascara. Once you’ve got your hands on the remover, pour a little on the cotton pad.
- Step 3
Gently remove the mascara
Hold the cotton pad on your eyes for 2-3 seconds to make sure your mascara breaks down. Only once the mascara softens, it becomes easier for you to remove the mascara. Now, gently rub your lashes against the cotton pad.
- Step 4
Go with Vaseline Petroleum Jelly
When you’re trying to get rid of waterproof mascara, you need to go over and over again. Only a makeup remover won’t remover the tiny bits of mascara stuck in between your lashes. For this, dip a cotton bud into Vaseline Petroleum Jelly and then target your lashes separately but make sure you’re careful about your eyes. Go over once more with a cotton pad.
- Step 5
Cleanse your skin
The final step towards getting rid of waterproof mascara is washing your face and eyelashes. Use a mild cleanser like the Pond’s White Beauty Face Wash for this purpose. This cleanser helps maintain the moisture levels in your skin and the Pro-Vitamin B3 in it helps reduce dark spots and leaves you with a glowing complexion.
