- 5. Improves skin’s texture
1. Decreases marks
Lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acid that are found in curd are commonly used in beauty products to soften and brighten skin. Add some besan or gram flour to fresh curd to make a paste. Massage this on your face for about 30 minutes and wash off with cold water. Within a month, you will see visible changes.
2. Natural cleanser
Cleansing your face before going to sleep is the best way to keep your skin perfect. A good cleanser can get rid of the dirt and grime and prevent breakouts. Curd is a great cleanser for those who have dry and flaky skin. For very dry skin, you can add a few drops off olive oil to the curd. Once the paste has dried after the application, you can wash it off with warm water.
3. Keeps hair healthy
Add banana to a cup of curd and blend to make a paste. Apply this on your hair and scalp. Leave it for 1 hour and wash off with cold water. This makes a good remedy for frizzy hair. It also makes your hair soft and tangle-free. Rinse off with lukewarm water to get beautiful hair.
4. Helps in reducing sunburns
Sunburns can be painful and if not checked, can even cause the skin to peel off. As buttermilk has lightening properties it can remove tans and soothe sunburns. Take a mixture of besan and curd and apply it on the affected areas. Keep it for about 1 hour and wash off. This will reduce the inflammation and cure your sunburns.
5. Improves skin’s texture
Applying curd on the face helps even out the skin tone and reduces blemishes and dark spots. Add some turmeric powder to curd and apply on the face for about 15 minutes. This will soften the skin and make your skin brighter.
