5 WAYS TO ADD SOME GEOMETRY TO YOUR WARDROBE
One of the biggest trends this season has been geometric and structured shapes, patterns and prints. We saw it on the international runways and we saw it when Sculpt took center stage at Lakmé Fashion Week this year. Mixing geometric patterns and flaunting geometric prints in separates, dresses and accessories is the current trend and since all the forecasters say it’s here to stay, you might as well master it. Read on as we tell you just how to incorporate geometry in your fashion diet.

Geometric prints

Ace the classic geometric look with a standalone geo print dress or opt for co-ords such as a crop top and pencil skirt in the same print. Our absolute favourite is a geometric print romper/playsuit for an easy summer day look.

Geo print playsuit is available for ₹595 at Cottonworld.

Geometric patterns

Geometric patterns are fast catching up with geometric prints. So if you are not the OTT kind who likes to clash too many prints in one look then the single geometric pattern in a radical cut – think boxy and super structured – is your saviour.

(FYI – the basic difference between a print and a pattern is that while a print is something put on a fabric, a pattern is something that is a part of a fabric or woven into the fabric.)

Geo patter open work top and shirt available for ₹3,490 at Mango

Geo Print separates

Inducing subtle breaks of geometric prints to an otherwise plain Jane look is the easiest way to accentuate your wardrobe without making a fuss about it. A geometric print maxi skirt teamed with a plain top, or a plain black top paired with a geo print mini skirt can make for a breezy but fantastic day look.

Printed Maxi Skirt is available for ₹910 on Koovs.
Geo print mini skirt available for ₹2,990 on Mango.
Charlotte Trousers in Geometric Print available for ₹10514 on Asos.
Jumper in Geometric Check is available for ₹3762 at Asos.

Geometricize and accessorize

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you must have got the memo that geometric and minimalist jewellery is back en vogue. Whether its a square bracelet or a ring in the form of a cube or even a single triangular pendant, there’s something about perfect and delicate shapes that makes geometric accessories worth lusting after.

Geometric pendant necklace available for 1,790 on Mango.
Linear rings from Bhane for 1,200
Asymmetric needle earrings from Bhane for 700

Clutch it

Always a good idea is to sport the geometric trend with a geo shaped clutch or a geo printed bag. When teamed right these geometric shaped lovelies make a unique style statement.

Geometric clutch is available for ₹ 3,990 at Mango.
