01. Trust turmeric for beautiful skin

Just like the rest of us, Yami, too, trusts the good old turmeric to keep her skin healthy and beautiful. She makes her own face scrub by mixing turmeric, sugar and honey. This helps exfoliate dead skin cells and also tightens pores to make the skin look flawless. Use this gentle scrub to exfoliate your skin and wash it off with cold water for best results.
02. Homemade hair packs FTW

For Yami, beauty begins in the kitchen. That’s why the actress makes her own hair masks to maintain and take care of her gorgeous mane. Her trusted hair mask is an egg-white and olive oil mask that helps strengthen the hair and make it shiny. Her next best go-to mask is a methi seed hair mask that she mixes with aloe vera and yoghurt.
03. Sunscreen is a must

Understanding how harsh sun damage can be to your skin, Yami makes it a rule to never step out of her home before slathering sunscreen on her skin. Kudos, girl! We’ve said it time and again that no matter what the weather outside, make sure you always apply sunscreen of SPF 30 and higher like the Lakmé Sun Expert SPF 50 PA+++ Ultra Matte Lotion Sunscreen before stepping out. This lightweight, non-sticky and non-greasy sunscreen comes with SPF 50 that helps block out 97% of harmful sun rays and protects the skin against any damage.
04. Embrace your skin

Yami is quite vocal about her skin condition keratosis pilaris and embraces it like the queen that she is! Another thing that she has been vocal about is her love for homemade face packs and that’s what she uses to cleanse her skin after long days of shooting. She makes a face pack with honey, glycerin, lemon and rose water to hydrate, cleanse and nourish her skin.
05. Lip care is essential

To revitalise and replenish her dry, chapped lips, Yami trusts the age-old dadi-nani ke nuskhe of rubbing some ghee on her pout. All thanks to the phospholipids in ghee, this Indian kitchen staple moisturises chapped, dry lips to make them soft and glossy.
