Eyeliners have proved time and time again that they're the most trusty makeup product around. From learning how to wonkily apply eyeliner in the 7th grade, to perfecting the wing by the time we got older, it's definitely been the one constant in our life. Since we've established we're not getting rid of the eye makeup staple anytime soon, we're going to let you in on how you can upgrade a classic liner lewk to something that belongs on the ramps.
Read on for the top five ways to wear eyeliner in 2021.

Favoured by celebs and supermodels alike, give the humble cat-eye a much-needed upgrade by adding in a little intensity. Edge out the inner corners of your eyes for a particularly foxy look, and add an underline. You know, for the drama.
02. Soft smudge

A wearable look that's oh-so nineties, a softly smudged eyeliner look gives the appearance of soft glam through and through. Achieve the look by using the Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal to rim your upper and lower lids, and gently smudge the edges with your fingertips or a Q-tip.
03. Bright colours

Having spent so long in masks, we're always looking for ways to make our eyes stand out. Enter: coloured eyeliners. More specifically, eyeliner with bright shades. An eye-catching look that will draw all the attention and bring in all the glam, you need to have a coloured eyeliner like the Lakmé Insta Eye Liner in blue. Brownie points if you manage to match the shade to your outfit.
04. Floating eyeliner

No magic tricks, and no-frills — a look that's worn best with a clean, neutral base. Use eyeliner and simply draw a line — just in a slightly higher position. This one lets you play around with what you prefer, and we're definitely trying this for our next zoom date.
05. Graphic liner

Sorry to break it to you but the graphic eyeliner trend isn't going anywhere. Swap out your classic black liner for a different shade, and let your creative juices flow as you experiment with different looks. Your eyelid is your canvas!
