While the models strutted down the runway in jaw-dropping couture, we turned our focus on the hair, makeup, and everything in between during the Paris Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2021-2022 shows. Our wallets may shut us down the moment we think of getting something that's close to Dior or Chanel, but recreating the beauty looks showcased at the haute couture week? That's certainly a more achievable goal. From out-there hair to bold eyeliner, these looks are bold and glamorous.

Looking for some inspiration to up your makeup game? Here are the best beauty trends we spotted at the Paris Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2021/2022.

With everything going retro, it's no surprise that our eye makeup is following suit. Thanks to Armani Privé and Viktor & Rolf, we're seeing a huge wave of pastel, minimal eyeshadows that are as dreamy as they are easy to wear. To make the look your own, go for the Lakmé Absolute Spotlight Eye Shadow Palette in the shade Sundowner (which happens to be a personal fave) and opt for any of the matte colours. Simply sweep the shadow onto your lid, and you're done! Who said makeup was hard?

02. Eyeliner experiments

Our obsession with experimenting with eyeliner is never-ending — and the runway seems to agree. From bold, underlined wings at Dior to double wings at Chanel, playing with eyeliner has never been chicer. To create your own double wings or underlined eyes, opt for the Lakmé Insta-Liner and experiment as much as you'd like. It's got a brush that'll make drawing on eyeliner much easier, and it comes in blue, which is another trend you need to look out for. Blue eyeliner has made its comeback, people!

Zuhair Murad's intricate couture is a sight to behold, but we're spellbound by one thing — the gorgeous eye makeup. (And of course, the eye mask!) The smokey eyes have our complete attention, and we love the way it manages to complement the outfits. If you want to get the look for yourself, use the Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal and apply right over your lash-line. Blend it out until you're happy with the look, and get ready for a runway-ready lewk that lasts 22 hours, and won't budge through the day.

04. Big hair don't care

Whether it's Giambattista Valli with its intensely high beehive-Esque hairdos or Chanel with its braided mohawks, the one message we're getting is — big hair just came back in fashion. Whether you're one for chunky dutch braids woven atop your head like a mohawk or teased up coiffures, don't be afraid to experiment with big hairdos.

Yes, we're not joking about this one. From retro hair bows spotted at Giambattista Valli, to velvet bows at Chanel, larger-than-life bows seem to be the order of the season. Reminiscent of simpler times, the fresh spin to the old trend is wearable, easy to incorporate into any hairstyle, and of course, affordable too.
