We are officially in the throes of the bridal season and regardless of the pandemic, weddings are still taking place. Granted that they are low-key, intimate or even online, shaadi season 2020 has found itself many innovative ways to keep the excitement and mirth alive. In fact, most of this year’s bridal beauty trends are a direct result of adapting to the new normal - bridal face masks, minimal makeup looks and an increased obsession with eye makeup.
Celebrities have gotten the memo as well, and their festive and bridal looks combined gave us some lovely eye makeup looks. Easily achievable on your own, yet sunning, try these out especially if you are playing the part of a fashionable shaadi guest! Khushi Kapoor’s festive look consisted of creamy matte shades mixed with minimal highlighting. We are loving the full matte coverage on her eye but those thick, straight brows are a whole mood on their own. Focusing on the brows, whether you are going for the trendy feathered look or the classic bushy fill, is a good way to up the drama of your eye look.

A fan of the smokey eye but could never get it right? Switch up dark shadows with rich pigments instead. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja paired her boho ensemble with some lovely olive green smoke on the lids and light copper fill on the crease and brow bone for added depth. Coloured smokey eyes allow for a little error, which will come in handy while doing your own makeup for a bridal soiree.

A couple of makeup staples helped achieve this glamorous look on Mouni Roy - a shimmery copper shadow, an intense black liquid liner, faux lashes and some tinted brow gel. A bronze eye makeup look will be perfect to match your gorgeous lehengas and oplument jewellery.

Silver eye looks got so big this season! The versatility of glittery silver shadows lies in the fact that they match with Indian bridal wear like a dream. Got mirror work on your kurti? The silver will do. Saree laden with zari work? Silver will do, again! While Hina Khan kept her silver pigment fill minimal, you can always make it intense and OTT as well.

This is probably one of the easiest ways to add a fun element to your bridal season glam. Combine trendy coloured liners with traditional makeup products like kajals and peachy lids, and you are good to go!
