Leave it up to a legacy fashion house like Dior to bring back one of the boldest eye makeup trends from the early 2000s and represent it in such a modern way! For their SS21 presentation, which was staged in a dark and moody room to a limited audience, models sashayed down the runway in a statement eye look that was difficult to not get distracted by. Such a focus on the eye was deliberate. Given that the collection was heavy on wrap printing and tie-dyes, a perfect balance act was created by the thick, and may we say intense, liner.
The bold liner looks like a frame for your eyes, with equal thickness, maintained all around the eye. This is easier said than done because the contour of your eye can pose a challenge, especially if you are not so skilled with doing liners on the daily. Which is why we have a simple tutorial to help you recreate the look in just three simple steps…
Step 01: To make the liner pop, prep your base using the Lakme Absolute Blur Perfect Makeup Primer - Mini and Lakme Absolute Mattreal Mousse Concealer to conceal and cover any pigmentation on the eyelids.
Step 2: Next, go in with the Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate and line your eyes. The thick tip helps in creating a distinct, consistent shape without having to go over it multiple times. It also comes with a smudger on the other end, if you want to soften up the edges a bit.
Step 3: Finish the look with the Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara as a final, dramatic touch. Intensely curled lashes will open up your eyes, which is necessary here because the intense liner can be a bit overpowering and make your eyes look small.
