Last night saw the close of Lakmé Fashion Week Winter Festive 2019, and we were equal parts happy and sad. Happy that we can give our feet a break from the heels we were running around in all week, and sad that our dose of fashion and beauty trends have come to an end. But we have to say that fashion week did not leave us disappointed; there are quite a few hair and makeup trends from the runway that we can’t wait to try.

But before we bring you the best of LFW WF’19, here’s a look at all the experimental, stunning and noteworthy looks we spotted on the runway on Day 5 of Lakmé Fashion Week W/F ’19...

By Kaveri – Floral accessories

By Kaveri – Floral accessories

The By Kaveri show broke a major fashion and beauty stereotype – flowers are a summer staple. The models didn’t just wear baby’s breath flowers entwined in a dreamy half-up half-down hairstyle, they also sported petals on their eyes. The lower lash line was dressed in white eyeliner that ended with a petal-like design on the outer corner. Oodles of highlighter, a hint of blush and a nude creamy lipstick tied the entire look together.

Diya Rajvir – Smudged extended eyeliner

Diya Rajvir – Smudged extended eyeliner

Different variations of eyeliner are huge this season, and the Diya Rajvir show proved that once again. We saw an extended smudged eyeliner look that started from the middle of eye. The rest of the makeup look was kept really simple with dewy skin, fluttery lashes, defined brows and a nude, glossy lip.

Tisa – Metallic eyeshadow

Thanks to all the metallic eye makeup inspo we have received, we are so excited to experiment with metallic eyeshadows this season. The Tisa show had models sporting metallic smokey eye makeup. The rest of the makeup was kept minimal ensuring that the stunning eyes took centre stage.

Sonam and Paras Modi – Mohawk braids

Sonam and Paras Modi – Mohawk braids

Never before have we loved braids like we do this season. For the Sonam and Paras Modi show, models sported fake mohawk braids that looked absolutely lovely. The showstopper for this show, Diva Dhawan, sported a blue metallic eyeshadow embellished with tiny diamonds. So dreamy and classy!

Gauri and Nainika – Twisted updos

Gauri and Nainika – Twisted updos

Gauri and Nainika’s show was the grand finale, and boy were we left stunned. The dreamy fabrics perfectly complemented with the minimal rose gold eye makeup. But what completely stole our hearts was the twisted updos at this show. This intricate updo is so bridesmaid-appropriate that we can totally see ourselves rocking this at all the upcoming weddings.
