Golden makeup looks are a bridal staple  — they complement the bling and hold their own against heavy lehengas and sarees. But it seems unfair to limit gold eye makeup looks to just shaadi scenes. The rich hue can be incorporated in your everyday makeup looks as well.

If done right, it can add just the right amount of glamour to your daily casuals or make your party LBDs look like a million bucks. The trick is to draw focus to the gold pigments and keep the rest of your face makeup muted. Here are some stunning gold makeup looks to get you started on your gold obsession for the season!

01. All-over gold

Use a gold highlighter and apply it to the highpoints of your face — apples of the cheeks, chin, bridge of the nose and cupids bow for a statement-making look. To amp things up, you can also use the same highlighter and apply it to the inner corner of the eyes and below the brow bone to make ‘em peepers pop.

PS Go a step further and dab some on the centre of your lips to make them appear fuller.

02. Glam goddess

Take your creamy gold eyeshadows and use them to create a gradient eye look. Use the darker colour of the outer ‘V’ and apply the lighter colour in the inner corner of the eyes to make them pop and appear bigger. To up the glam quotient, use the lighter colour and line your lower lash line with it.

03. Halo eye

OTT, not your thing? Try this minimal look instead. Simply swipe on a copper eyeshadow on your eyelids. Then, take your gold eyeshadow and apply it to the centre of your lids to create a stunning halo effect.

04. Swipe gold

If you are a makeup minimalist, a simple swipe of gold on top of your cheekbones is all you need to pull off the aesthetic. Add some to your brow bone and the tip of your nose for the ultimate glow.

05. Barely there, eyeshadow

A see-through golden eyeshadow might just become your ‘in-the-bag’ essential to take everywhere — you only need a little bit of it to add glow to your face. Swipe on some rosy blush and a put on a nude lip gloss for a youthful look.
