Lakmé Fashion Week 2021: How To Recreate The Colourful Summery Eye Makeup And Nude Lips Spotted On Day 1
Written by Urvi DalalMar 18, 2021
It’s only been one day since the grand opening of the country’s biggest fashion week, and we have been flooded with hair and makeup trends for the upcoming season already. Day 1 of the ‘phygital’ Lakmé Fashion Week 2021 saw quite a few OTT beauty trends, but what really stood out for us was the super summery and colourful eye makeup look at the Pankaj and Nidhi show.
An ode to fresh air, wanderlust, nostalgia, and everything else we took for granted before the pandemic, the collection named ‘Kaliedo’ featured flowy fabrics in a riot of colours that symbolised constant evolution. To match this stunning feminine collection, the models were seen sporting colourful eye makeup looks, set against a dewy base and nude lips. Created by Lakmé Salon experts, this makeup look is absolutely perfect for a brunch date with the girls or your upcoming beach vacay. Here’s how to recreate it...
Step 01: After cleansing and moisturising your skin, pat on a pea-sized amount of the Lakmé Absolute Blur Perfect Makeup Primer all over your face to minimise the appearance of open pores and even out skin texture.
Step 02: Next, go in with a coin-sized amount of the Lakmé Absolute 3D Cover Foundation and blend it using a brush or a damp makeup sponge. The water-based formula blends seamlessly into the skin to give it a flawless, glowing finish.
Step 03: For the eyes, we recommend using the Lakmé Absolute Spotlight Eyeshadow Palette – Sundowner. Take a bit of the matte purple shade and apply it on the outer eye corner, extending it outwards and upwards towards your brow bone. Next, apply the pink hue to the centre of your eyelid and blend the two colours properly. Follow it up with the peachy-orange and apply it right under the centre of your brows and then go in with the yellow shade in the inner brow corner. Blend all the colours with an eyeshadow blending brush to achieve a seamless look. Apply 2-3 coats of the Lakmé Eyeconic Curling Mascara to define and open up your peepers.
Step 04: Swipe on some of the Lakmé Absolute Highlighter – Moon Lit on to the high points of your face such as your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, forehead, cupid’s bow and chin for that goddess-like glow.
Step 05: Finally, finish your makeup by sweeping on two coats of the Lakmé Absolute Matte Melt Mini – Nude Umbrella all over your lips and top it up with a clear lip gloss for that juicy pout.
