Birthday girl Mrunal Thakur cannot keep her hands off her hair styling tools — the hairstyling bug bit her as a young girl! The 28-year old often turns hairstylist for herself and her family and friends. The result? Fun and experimental hair look that is major makeover goals.
Yes, Mrunal likes to play up her hair in a way that it transforms her whole look, almost to the point of doing a double-take to make sure it’s really her. We love that in a fashion girl — why sport the same boring hairstyle when there you can flaunt a fun new style every single time. Mrunal agrees and here are some of her hairstyling adventures that will make you give yourself a hair makeover right away!

01. Good old 90s crimping

Mrunal naturally has super straight hair that is voluminous and thick. We wonder what made her opt for this 90s classic crimping style, but we’re glad she went for it. It adds such a lovely texture to her hair and makes us reminisce about a tropical summer vacay - all good things in our book!
02. Baby bangs

When it comes to editorial hair looks, the Marathi mulgi has gotten us drooling over glossy pages as well! One of our favourites is these baby clip-on bangs she wore last year. Makes her look super adorable, no?
03. Snip snip!

Taking the plunge to rock super-short hair with a chin-length bob, Mrunal chopped off all of her gorgeous lengths last year and we can’t say we have a single complaint about it. The snip lets her do edgier styles like this sleek back half up, half down number with elan. Agree?
04. Vintage waves

A subtle side-part with classic, bouncy waves became one of Mrunal’s go-to styles to add some character and body to her short hair. If you ask us, we might favour her wavy/curly hair looks slightly more than pin-straight ones; the wildness of all that texture matches her energetic personality!
05. Baby hair appreciation post

Mrunal often styles her hair in side braids or a tightly packed bun, giving her baby hair a time to shine. She lays them down with some hairspray as well, a lesson for anyone trying to hide their baby hair instead of styling them in full visible and attention-grabbing glory!
