Taapsee Pannu is blessed with envious curls! The woman loves to play with edgy and experimental hairstyles on and off-screen. And why wouldn't she? With all that volume and body, Tappsee happens to be one of the only few in the industry who is not afraid to sport her natural texture most of the time. Her hair also lends so much character to her roles — a new hairstyle for her upcoming flick Loop Lapeta being proof of the same...

A remake of the German cult classic Lola Rennt, Taapsee’s new movie is sure to see her flexing all those quads she developed training for Rashmi Rocket. In another shot shared by the actress, we see her staring down the camera in a shabby room, looking grunge. Both the shots are instantly fascinating to us as the partial braid and bun hairdo is a first of its kind to be put on the big screen, in a major Bollywood flick.
We rarely see actresses, or actors, take the edgy route with their hair in Bollywood releases, with the exceptions of Amyra Dastur (Rajma Chawal) and Vicky Kaushal (Manmarziyaan). And Taapsee’s grungey hairdo is sure to join those ranks in a heartbeat. Done by collecting most of her hair in a top bun, which includes colourful braids, a chunky side section is made to run along her ear for added charm. Adorned with metal rings, we can indeed see this hairdo be a major look in 2021!
We are excited to see how Taapsee’s transformation comes full circle in the film, which was expected to release in Jan 2021 but couldn’t because of the pandemic. However, we will surely be marking our calendar when the release dates do hit the newsstands.
After all, we are a sucker for culture moments driven by unapologetically badass beauty moments like such. It will be fun to watch weathered and worn out leading ladies battle it out against all odds in a film, with hair that can put any number of past glamorous ‘dos seen on screen to shame!
