Heat boils no more! Treat them with these simple home remedies

Summer and heat boils go hand-in-hand. Boils can form on almost any part of the body, but they are especially common on the forehead, back and chest area. It is a bacterial skin infection that forms in hair follicles and oil glands. Boils begin as painful, red bumps that develop into pus-filled heads as they progress.

While it is recommended that you never prick or drain a heat boil at home, there are certain things you can do to help speed up the recovery process. Here’s how...

Tea tree oil

Neem oil

The strong antibacterial and antiseptic properties in Tea Tree Oil help treat the bacterial infections that cause these boils. It helps calm the inflammation and reduces redness with regular use.

BB Pro Tip: Dilute tea tree oil with a carrier oil of your choice and apply it to the area with a cotton swab 2 to 3 times a day until the boil is completely gone.

Turmeric

Neem oil

Known for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric helps get rid of heat boils in a jiffy. It helps purify the blood naturally and flushes out the toxins from the body.

BB Pro Tip: Mix turmeric with water/milk and rose water to make a paste, and apply it to the boil at least twice a day.

Neem oil

Neem oil

The antiseptic, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties in neem oil is a great way to help treat skin infections and makes boils appear quickly.

BB Pro Tip: Apply the oil directly to the boil 2 to 3 times a day.
