How To Condition Your Hair Using Natural Ingredients
Written by Sanya HamdaniJan 09, 2020
If you feel like you are fighting a never-ending battle with frizzy hair, chances are your hair needs some natural conditioning. A lot of natural items sitting in your pantry right now are full of nourishing properties that can bring your frizzy hair back to life.
Frizzy and dehydrated hair is a problem that arises due to many reasons, right from harsh ingredients in your hair care products to overuse of heat styling tools. Little TLC using natural ingredients can help fix this problem, here’s how to do it.
Rich in potassium, natural oils, vitamins and other essential nutrients, bananas can help solve a lot of hair problems. It conditions and softens hair to make them more manageable and shiny. To get silky, bouncy tresses, blend banana in a blender to make a paste and apply this all over the hair and scalp. You can also add a few teaspoons of olive oil for extra nourishment. Allow it to stay for two hours before washing it off with water and mild shampoo.
Olive oil
Olive oil works as a great addition to salads, making hummus and preparing healthy meals. But this super moisturising ingredient works wonders for your hair as well. If you want to add shine to your tresses and make it look healthy and happy, get a bottle of olive oil right away. Apply the oil before washing, you can warm it a little for better absorption. Massage into scalp and hair and cover using a steaming towel to get the hair of your dreams.
Avocado
After preparing some guacamole, the next best thing you can do with an avocado is mash it and apply it to your hair. Loaded with essential fatty acids, minerals and biotin, avocado works as a protein-rich treatment for hair that lacks lustre and shine. You can also use avocado oil regularly to get the same results. To prepare your avocado mask, add a ripe avocado to the blender along with a tablespoon of coconut oil and honey each, and blend well to form a smooth paste. Apply evenly all over and let it stay for 30 minutes to 1 hour and wash off.
