Honey and yoghurt mask
Has your hair become frizzy and dry? Turn to honey. Honey contains emollients that smoothen and moisturise the hair. The vitamins in honey help with hair growth. Proteins help make your hair stronger, and a full-fat yoghurt has this nutrient in abundance. The lactic acid in the yoghurt acts as a deep conditioner, giving you hydrated hair. With only two ingredients, this hair mask doesn’t take long to whisk.
Mix 2 tablespoons yoghurt and 1 teaspoon honey. Massage the mask onto your scalp and leave it in for 10 minutes. Wash your hair as you normally would.
Use this mask once a week to get rid of dull and dry hair.
Coconut milk and besan mask
Are you suffering from dandruff? Don’t worry, you are not the only one. This besan and coconut mask will help reduce dandruff and give you smoother hair in the process. Besan is an also an Ayurvedic cure for hair fall. Coconut milk contains lauric acid which is a natural antiseptic. It cleanses the hair follicles and prevents oily hair.
Take 2 tablespoons of besan and 2 tablespoons of ground methi seeds and add them in ½ cup coconut oil. Apply the mask into your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash your hair with a shampoo and conditioner as usual.
Use the mask weekly to treat oily hair.
Egg yolk and coconut oil mask
Applying coconut oil into your hair for longer hair is a common practice in India. A hair mask that contains this oil will work wonders for your hair. The natural fatty acids in coconut oil deeply nourish your hair, making them stronger. Egg yolk has sulphur which is an essential part of your hair. The vitamins in the yolk help your hair more resistant to breakage.
Whisk 1 egg yolk, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and 1 table spoon of honey. Rub this mask into your hair and cover it with a shower cap. Wash your hair after 20-25 minutes.
Use this mask once in every two weeks to help repair damaged hair.
