The right way to wash hair
Hair oils contain vitamin C and biotin that improve hair growth, so oil your hair a couple hours before washing it. Rinse your hair with lukewarm water to open the pores in your scalp (don’t use hot water, it dries your scalp). Massage shampoo into hair from roots to tip and rinse it. Now apply the conditioner and let it stay for two minutes before rinsing it with cold water. Gently pat down your hair with a towel.
Choose the right shampoo and conditioner
As much as you enjoy experimenting with new products, your hair cannot adapt to the change well, which causes hair problems. Check which shampoo and conditioner works best for your hair and stick to it.
Don’t skip hair masks
If you are going to style your hair, make sure that you apply a hair mask before washing it. Chemically treated hair is more susceptible to dryness and breakage. Go for a hydrating hair mask that nourishes the hair, like the TONI&GUY Nourish Reconstruction Hair Mask. The mask will repair damaged hair giving you smooth and shiny locks.
Time to style it up
Before using any kind of styling device, apply a heat protection cream or spray on your hair to retain the moisture. If you want a voluminous look, apply some mousse at the roots. Style hair while it’s still wet to get your ideal hair style. Set your style with a hairspray or just blast it with cool air to set it better.
Tip: Washing your hair on a rainy day can cause frizz. Instead spray it with a dry shampoo or leave-in conditioner.
