First came glass skin, made popular by the Koreans and now something called ‘glass hair’ is taking Instagram by storm. It is a blunt bob that is glossed to an almost glass-like shine. We recently did a round-up of all the celebs who went and got themselves a bob cut, but we realised the story continues with all of them going the ‘glass hair’ way.
The combination of a blunt bob and the sharp lines of the cut along with the sleek, straight glossiness of the hair complement each other very well. It quickly became a trend, thanks to Instagram, and many celebs like Jenna Dewan, Kim Kardashian, Lucy Hale, Olivia Culpo and Jourdan Dunn have been proudly strutting it.
How to get it:
First decide if you are ready to get yourself a short blunt bob cut, it needs to be just below the jaw line. If you already sport such a style and want to get glass hair, just follow these instructions.
- Wash your hair and towel dry it. While it is still damp, work a heat protectant cream through your hair, from the mid-length to the ends.
- Now using a large-barrelled round brush, blow dry your hair into a straight style.
- Once done, use a few drops of a shine serum and gently apply it on the lengths of your hair.
