Hair colourists are always inventing new hair dyes. Looks like this time around they’ve found winter’s fave hair colour—a sort of blood orange they call blorange. This one’s a peachy-orangish shade with a dash of red. You can either wear it bold as a bright orange or don a subtler version of it by washing it out a couple of times till you get a lighter version of the colour.

How did the trend start rolling?

It was first founded by hairstylist Alex Brownsell who created the look on notable model Georgia May Jagger. Since Jagger is anyway blonde, Alex dyed her hair orange and then washed the colour a couple of times to get the perfect shade of Blorange for the model. And when Georgia debuted her hair on Instagram, the trend went viral in an instant with various girls posting their selfies with Blorange hair.

A universal shade

A universal shade

Hair colourists have been telling the beauty world that unlike other hair colours, this one’s a universal shade that works on just about any length or skin tone. Depending on the skin tone, the colour will be lighter or darker and can be used by way of balayage or even ombre. The only disadvantage with this colour is that it’ll take time to come off since it’s bright shade. So it’s advisable that you go for this hair colour if you’re truly brave enough to carry off this trend for a longer duration.
