Phoenix hair

Phoenix hair

Phoenix hair is created with rainbow hair-dye that’s designed to glow under black-light. Guy Tang, the colourist behind the trend uses a particular neon dye which transforms hair into a fluorescent rainbow shade. To master this look, Tang recommends a back-to-back bleaching in order to bleach hair enough to lighten hair colour so that it’s is blondest best before applying the neon dye.

Chunky pink and orange

Chunky pink and orange

Tang paints chunky pink and orange throughout the hair to create a look by day that’s striking and transformative at night into what can only be described as mesmerising hair-art. It is for this transition, of rising from the ashes that has given the trend its namesake; phoenix.

The power of beauty

The power of beauty

With this trend Tang is breathing new life into what we consider beauty and how we appreciate the power of beauty. Fluorescent locks have the power to rekindle spirits and that’s exactly Tang’s ambition with this notion. To cement his point, he’s made the colour truly shout out in utter darkness. What better way to inspire.
