Our top prediction for 2022 trends is everything hair. Funky hair accessories have taken centre stage for a while, and we don’t see them going away any time soon. What started with a bunch of quirky words plastered on clips has now blown into oversized clips, stylish hairbands and an array of possibilities to style these. Grab all the campy hair accessories you like; this trend is here to stay.

We all knew this would make its way to 2022. Using studs as props in makeup has become quite popular on social media. Any eye look can be transformed with just a few shiny rhinestones around the eyes and eyebrows. Embellishment has also made its way into nail art and hairstyles. People have also been experimenting with using pearls instead of rhinestones for their creative looks, and we’re here for it!

2022 is all about that shine. Lip glosses are back and stronger than ever. Comfort has become the top priority in makeup, and people no longer reach for drying matte lipsticks. A swipe of lip gloss is enough to make you look put together and alluring. Pigment rich lip glosses were trendier towards the end of 2021 as they eliminate the need for lipstick. And, with the formula so easy to correct after a mess up, these beauties are going to be a staple in everyone’s vanities. Moreover, if lip glosses are making a comeback in an era of masks, it really speaks about how powerful this trend is.
We see skincare dominating the beauty space in 2022. People better understand the importance of the right skincare, and there is a growing demand for the right products. Not only that, but consumers have also become more aware when it comes to the ingredients that go into every product, and companies have been trying their best to put out the finest. Ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, Vitamin C and SPF were heavily demanded throughout 2021, and we see this trend going stronger in 2022.
Products that can be used in multiple ways are highly appreciated and praised these days. On the outset, these are super easy to use and cut down makeup time significantly - truly a saviour on lazy days. Just one product working as a blush, eyeshadow and lipstick also gives the consumer bang for their buck. Apart from mindful spending, shoppers have been conscious of the carbon footprint makeup leaves. Multi-purpose products save money, packaging waste, and are easy and quick to use. All in all, multipurpose products are a big win!
