New day, new hacks from TikTok. Social media has abundant beauty hacks! These bite-sized videos simplify everything with the most basic solutions. Some of these hacks are straight-up brilliant and innovative. Today, we're reviewing four 5-minute beauty hacks for you. Keep reading to know if these are worth trying.
01Eyeshadow for volume

If eyeshadow can be used to make eyebrows look thicker, then why not try it to make your hairline look fuller? TikTok users have been applying matte eyeshadows similar to their hair colour, on their hair line. And we're here to tell you that this hack works. However, you gotta be careful. Pick an eyeshadow colour that is as close to your real hair colour as possible. You can either take a small eyeliner brush and draw hair-like strokes in the front of your hair, or, you can take a fluffy brush and gently sweep the pigment across your hairline. The method of application totally depends on your liking and the density of your hair. This also works very well if you have grey roots growing out and you haven't been able to hit the salon. Just colour em in for a temporary fix! This one can totally be done in under five minutes. BB Picks: Lakmé Absolute Spotlight Eye Shadow Palette - Smokin Glam
02Bat eyeliner for hooded eyes

Image courtesy: Claudia This one is a total game-changer for people with hooded eyes. If you always thought winged eyeliner was not for you, well, TikTok modified it to suit you! All you need to do is make a little bat-shaped wing. The easiest way to recreate this is by drawing a wing the way you normally would. But, drag the line a little bit through your crease and connect it to the line across your lash line with a small semi-circle. This way, your eyeliner looks like a regular eyeliner with your eyes open and transforms into an edgy, off-beat graphic eyeliner. This is doable but we're not sure if five minutes will suffice for this. BB Picks: Lakmé Eyeconic Liquid Eyeliner - Black.
03Lip balm + liquid lipstick for a natural tint

We've all dotted lipstick on our lips, blended it out and topped it with a lip balm to create a tinted effect. But the internet has found an easier and lazier way to do this. All you need to do is take your lip balm (preferably one in stick form), dot liquid lipstick on the lip balm and apply it directly onto your lips. But, the question is, does it work? This hack depends on the formula of your lipstick. Since lip balms contain oils and emollients, they break down lipstick formulas. You might end up with a streaky and patchy colour with this. Moreover, a lot of liquid lipsticks also don't blend well with balmy consistency. They might just stick to certain points and make it difficult to disperse the pigmentation. While this could work, the original method is foolproof. If it works for you, it is totally under five minutes.

04Eyelash curler for the perfect cut crease

A cut crease is just so hot right now! Even the simplest colours look glam when worn with a cut crease effect. But unfortunately, this isn't the easiest to nail. Hence, we've seen innumerable tools, stencils and hacks for this. But the eyelash curler hack from TikTok might just be the best one yet. There are two eyelash curler hacks that have gone viral. In the first one, you simply use the curve of your curler as a stencil and blend eyeshadow above it. In the second one, you apply concealer on the inside of your lash curler and stamp it on your lids to get the perfect crescent. Both these hacks get a 10/10 from our end. These just made an intricate eye look insanely manageable for beginners. This takes nearly no time!
