We are huge fans of nail art that looks good on both, long as well as short nails, simply because of how versatile they are. And one such nail art design to have recently caught our fancy is the water marble nail art.

This nail art design gives a tie-dye effect (which is so in trend RN). The best part? It’s super simple to recreate. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you ace the water marble nail art.

You will need:

- A container filled with water

- Clear base coat

- White nail polish like the Lakme True Wear Nail Color - Nudes V014

- 2-3 vibrant nail paints of your choice

- Topcoat like the Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist Nail Polish - Top Coat

- Tape

- Toothpicks or needles

Step 01: Once you’ve cleaned your nails and removed any remnants of previous nail paint, start by applying a thin even layer of the clear base coat

Step 02: Once it’s completely dry, apply a layer of the Lakme True Wear Nail Color - Nudes V014 and allow it to completely dry. This will form the base of your nail polish

Step 03: Now, using the tape, cover the skin around your nails, as the next few steps can get really messy

Step 04: Now, take the water container and add a few drops of each of the coloured nail polishes that you’ve picked in the middle of the container

Step 05: Once you’ve added all the nail polishes, swirl the sides of the water with the toothpick and be quick. This should give you a nice pattern. Avoid touching the nail polish with the toothpick. Next, use the same toothpick, place it in the centre of the polish and drag it outwards. This should give you a tie-dye effect

Step 06: Now, one-by-one, dip your fingers into this mixture. Once you take the finger out, be careful not to smudge it

Step 07: Peel the tape off and once dry, seal the polish in place using the Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist Nail Polish - Top Coat and voila! your stunning water marble nails are ready to be flaunted.
