Ah, fashion weeks, the birthplace of the hottest trends. Every year, we beauty lovers have our eyes glued to the screens to see what our favourite brands and models have in store for us. Safe to say, the New York Fashion Week did not disappoint! We got a bunch of styles and memorable fashion moments to swoon over. Keeping the NYFW excitement going, we’re teaching you how to recreate the top beauty trends spotted at New York Fashion Week.

1. Statement red lips

A classic that was a big hit this fashion week was a bold red lip. From street style to runways, statement red pouts were spotted everywhere. Bare faces too were punctuated with a bold swipe of red lipstick. But the one thing that was a staple with red lipstick was clean skin. For this look, you will need a  red lipstick of your choice,  preferably with a matte finish. The Lakmé Absolute Matte Melt Liquid Lip Color - Rhythmic Red is a true red that flatters every skin tone.

How to recreate this look:

  • Keep your skin flawless by concealing any trouble spots and powdering it in place.
  • Use neutral blushes and bronzers to add depth but don’t go overboard with the colour.
  • Swipe on the gorgeous red lipstick mentioned above and you’re done!

2. Glass skin

Impeccable, blemish-free and glowing skin was a standard during Fashion Week. The makeup on each model was kept minimal with just glossy skin. For this look, you will need a radiant moisturiser and an illuminator.

3. Sleek and shiny hair

Yes, sleek hair is still trendy and the New York Fashion Week was all the proof you need. Models donned a slicked-back hairdo for almost every show and it was glorious. This hairstyle was made for the runway as it does not catch too much attention. Perfect to keep all the eyes on attires. You will just need a glossy hair serum for this with your preferred accessories.

How to recreate this look:

  • Comb your hair and get rid of all knots. Once that’s done, use a small toothed comb and flatten your hair.
  • Apply the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Hair Serum all over your hair to make it sleek and lustrous.
  • Now, secure your hair in a ponytail or bun and you’re done!
