Nothing beats a relaxing bath after a long day at work. The best way to unwind is to take a hot shower or a bath and pamper your skin with some nourishing bath salts, body wash and, yes, a nice-smelling and nourishing body scrub. Body scrubs are great as they exfoliate your skin, remove dead skin cells, tighten skin and leave it glowing and moisturised. If your bathroom cabinet is missing a body scrub, you need to make one for yourself right now.
We have a DIY body scrub recipe that is as luxurious as a store-bought scrub and will turn your rough skin smooth and your bath session into a 5-star experience. Don’t believe us? Try this moisturising (and heavenly-smelling) body scrub.
- Coffee grounds
- Rose water
- Essential oil
Take about half a cup of fresh coffee grounds and add one tablespoon of honey to it. Mix both ingredients well until you have a smooth paste. Next add a few drops of rose water and any essential oil for some fragrance and added benefits. Mix the ingredients and store in a jar. Rub the scrub on your body and rinse with lukewarm water. Follow up with a body lotion.
While coffee improves blood circulation, sloughs off dead skin cells and unlocks brighter and glowing skin, honey provides ample moisture and nourishment. This simple yet luxe scrub works well for all skin types and can be stored to be used a couple of times.
