DIY nail soak for strong and healthy nails

Our hands and nails speak volumes about our personality. Therefore, it is essential to keep them prim and proper. Other than moisturising your hands every few hours to keep them soft and nourished it is also important to keep your nails in good health.

However, some people just have naturally dry and brittle nails. No matter what food or supplements they have, the condition of their nails does not seem to improve. If you are one of them, worry not, because we have a DIY nail soak recipe that might be the answer to all your nail problems.

You will need:

Steps:

  • A cup of hot water
  • 1 teaspoon virgin olive oil (has amazing moisturising and strengthening properties)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (works as an antiseptic and removes nail stains)
  • 4 drops of vitamin E oil (prevents peeling, cracking and yellowing of nails)
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves (helps in strengthening nails)

Steps:

Steps:

Step 01: Bring water to a boil in a pan

Step 02: Transfer the water to a glass bowl large enough to immerse your hands

Step 03: Add the dried rosemary leaves and let it seep in the water for a few minutes

Step 04: Once the water turns warm enough to dip your nails, add the remaining ingredients and stir well

Step 05: Now, soak your finger in this water for 5-10 minutes

Step 06: Remove hands from the bowl and wash your hands.

After you’re done washing your hands, slather on some moisturising hand cream such as Dove Coconut Hand Cream. Infused with the goodness of coconut oil and almond milk, it locks moisture into your hands and nails keeping them soft and supple all day long.
