A DIY rose and aloe vera toner to soothe skin irritation

Toning is an essential step in every skincare routine. Beauty experts recommend toning after cleansing your skin to tighten the pores and remove any residual dirt that may have been left behind after cleansing. This step also refreshes and calms your skin, while balancing its pH levels. Most toners offer a cooling sensation and make your skin feel rejuvenated.

Since it is such a vital part of your beauty routine, we thought we would let you in on this super simple recipe for making your own toner with just two ingredients, rose petals and aloe vera gel. They are both soothing and calming in nature, therefore a DIY toner made using these two ingredients will address most common skin issues.

Step 01: Break off a small aloe vera leaf; wash and scrape clear gel from it. Or use store-bought aloe vera gel.

Step 02: Wash the rose petals.

Step 03: Add the two ingredients in a blender and blend. You will notice a little froth and that is perfectly alright.

Step 04: Strain the toner in a clean vessel.

Step 05: Transfer it to a clean bottle to store.
