A teabag can heal post-wax itching and redness. Here’s how!

Waxing is not an easy task. And, no, the unbearable pain is not the worst part (because hey, at least it lasts only for a few minutes). It’s what happens after you are done with waxing that really makes you consider getting that laser hair removal treatment done.

Skin irritation, itching, redness and rash make it impossible for you to wear anything that touches the waxed skin, sleep in your blanky or even sit comfortably. And it doesn’t go away for a couple of days. Arghh!

But here’s good news… you don’t have to go through that anymore. We have a quick and natural solution to this post-wax skin irritation. All you have to do is sit back, relax, have a cup of green tea and save the teabags… Yes, you read that right. Tea can relieve you of the itching and inflammation in no time, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties.

Let us tell you how exactly you can try the teabag hack to do away with the post-waxing itching and redness on the skin in no time.

The hack:

The hack:

Soak some green teabags in water and freeze them for at least half an hour. Put the cold tea bags on the irritated skin and press against it. It helps soothe the skin and reduces redness.

It also acts as a cold compress and the cooling sensation heals irritation and itchiness. Hold the teabag on your waxed skin for a couple of seconds and rinse. Follow up with a cooling moisturiser. Repeat whenever your skin feels itchy and irritated. You can reuse the teabags two to three times.

But here's an easy way to deal with post wax itching - simply apply a calming moisturiser such as the Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Fresh Body Lotion. Enriched with natural aloe vera, this body lotion helps in repairing and healing the skin, as well as calming redness and  itchiness that usually comes post waxing, especially if you have sensitive skin.
