If there’s one thing that is common on everyone’s beauty wish list, it’s soft, smooth lips. Chapped lips are unsightly and can really bring you down. Dry air in summer zaps the moisture from your lips, leaving them flaky and patchy. You can treat them with nourishing oils to retain the lost moisture and turn peeling, dry lips into soft, plump pout. Here we have three amazing lip oils that you can DIY to get baby soft lips.
Lavender mint lip oil
Lavender oil is known to heal dryness and flakiness while peppermint soothes sore lips. Treating chapped lips with a mix of these oils will give you soft and smooth lips. Plus, this oil smells like heaven. So, prepare it by melting one tablespoon of shea butter in a pot. Add few drops of lavender oil and peppermint and mix. Once it’s cooled down, transfer into a small container. Use it twice a day.
Coconut, almond, lemon lip oil
Coconut oil and almond oil are natural moisturisers whereas lemon oil works for pigmented lips. So, this lip oil not only heals dry lips but also helps in reducing pigmentation and making lips naturally pink. To make this, heat one tablespoon of organic coconut oil and add half a tablespoon of almond oil and lemon essential oil. Add a teaspoon of honey and mix well. Apply whenever your lips feel dry.
Castor and rose lip oil
Castor oil soaks in and moisturise parched lips. Rose oil on the other hand has a calming smell and condition lips to make them smooth as silk. This lip oil will heal dry lips and make them pink and plump. Mix rose-infused oil and castor oil in a container and add some cocoa butter and vanilla extract to this mixture. Stir and add a tint if you want. Apply on clean lips twice daily.
