DIY overnight mask for dull, dehydrated skin

When it comes to skincare, we have a lot to thank Korean beauty for. From introducing the world to the extensive 10-step skincare routine, sheet masks and lip masks, they have truly reformed skincare.

But the latest skincare product that K-beauty has introduced to the world is overnight masks. Just like a normal mask, overnight masks are made using ingredients that penetrate deep into your skin and deliver targeted action. These masks are the double-duty warriors of skincare, because they not only treat and repair your skin but also act as a barrier to prevent dirt, oil and other impurities from entering your skin while you sleep.

Sounds interesting, right? If you are ready to jump on this skincare bandwagon, then here is a simple DIY overnight mask recipe that is perfect for anyone with dull, dehydrated and tired-looking skin.

Vitamin E and aloe vera face mask

Vitamin E and aloe vera face mask

This is a really simple mask and yet has so many benefits for dull skin. The use of vitamin E oil in anti-ageing treatments is very effective as it delays the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The thick consistency of vitamin E prevents dirt and oil from entering your skin.

Additionally, this mask also contains aloe vera gel to provide your skin with the necessary moisture and nourishment it needs. Aloe vera is brimming with skin-loving properties such as vitamins A and C, fatty acids and enzymes to intensely moisturise, condition and protect your skin.

Now that you know the benefits of the amazing ingredients in this overnight mask, let’s find out how to concoct this skin-glowing potion.

How to:

Step 01: In a mixing bowl, cut open about 10-12 vitamin E capsules. You can find these capsules at any medical store.

Step 02: Next, take about 4 tablespoons of the Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Aloe Aqua Gel and add it to the vitamin E oil.

Step 03: Mix both the ingredients together until they are completely blended and transfer this mixture to an airtight container.

Step 04: After you have completed your skincare routine, apply a thin layer of this mask all over your face and neck. Remember that this should be the last step in your skincare routine.

Step 05: Wash it off the next morning.

Instead of following such a long process, you could simply apply the Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Radiance Overnight Oil-in-Serum all over your face and neck and wake up to beautiful, glowing skin.
