Keep Those Stretch Marks At Bay With These Easy Hacks

Pregnancy brings about a lot of changes in your body, including weight gain. And with weight gain comes the risk of developing stretch marks. But don’t worry ladies, if you’re careful enough, you can prevent stretch from appearing on your skin.
The logic to understanding where stretch marks appear is simple: they are found in places where fat accumulates the most; that is your hips, thighs, bottom, and stomach.
When to start looking for them
As unavoidable as stretch marks are, they don’t start showing until you are at least four to five months along. And that, ladies, gives you ample of time to start taking preventive measures. We have a few tips to help you.
Drink up
You know that your body needs a certain amount of water to stay hydrated, right? But while you’re pregnant, you dehydrate quicker which means you need to drink even more water. Water flushes out the toxins from your body and gives you soft and supple skin in the process. Your bladder might not welcome it, but it’s going to help keep the stretch marks away, so drink up.
Pregnancy is no excuse for unhealthy eating
Ladies, right now you are going to be eating for two and will be hungry more often. But don’t take that as an excuse to gorge on junk food. You can satisfy your hunger just as well with a bowl of fresh fruits or a cube of cheese. Junk food is going to give you unhealthy weight, and that is not going to help you any with the stretch marks.
Moisturiser is your best friend
Pregnancy may cause your skin to lose its natural oils, and you need to replenish them. Moisturise often to maintain the pH balance of your skin. You can even massage Vitamin E onto your stretch marks to reduce them.
