Set it when wet
The easiest way to style your curls is to set them right after your hair wash. Use your fingers to apply your styling product and just scrunch up your hair. This will make your hair frizz-free and more manageable.
Let it air dry
Although it is time-consuming, stick to air drying to eliminate frizz. Air drying also happens to be the best way to dry curly hair. Just lightly pat-dry with a towel and you’re good to go!
Use a silk pillow
If you use a cotton pillowcase, then it’s time to switch. Cotton can damage your hair as the fibers absorb moisture from your hair, which can lead to frizz. Use a silk pillowcase as it will reduce friction and you will wake up to less frizzy hair.
Say NO to styling products with alcohol
The alcohol in your styling gel, hairspray or mousse can steal moisture from your hair, leaving it dry and brittle. Instead of products with alcohol, use water-soluble gels for styling. It will improve your curls and fight flyaways.
Go for a cut with dry hair
Curly hair can be drastically different when it’s wet. There’s no saying how it will dry. So, always get a dry cut to avoid any surprises. With the dry cut, you will know exactly how your ringlets will look when you style them. Do not forget to moisturise your locks using hair masks, oil treatments and leave-in conditioners for glossy, healthy curls.
