Headbands at Tom Ford
Just when we thought that headbands were passé, Tom Ford brought them back—the punky-black leather headbands that did a splendid job at holding all the texturized hair up (with a little help from bobby pins, of course) and making the look so well put together. There were also glitter headbands, because why not? Hairstylist Orlando Pita described the look as “tough” and we totes agree.
Banana clips at Alexander Wang
You look and these and you think “I probably have one of those”! Well, who doesn’t? First the scrunchie and now the ‘80s and ‘90s hair staple—the banana clip. It’s time to start using them again, ladies!
Comb hairbands at Prabal Gurung
Okay, you probably have these lying around somewhere in your house. Marking a major ‘90s revival, the comb hairbands were made a hit on the New York Fashion Week Fall 2018 runway by designer Prabal Gurung.
Bow clips at Simone Rocha
How to make a stunning updo even more gorgeous? Decorate it with sparkly bow clips! Simone Rocha’s show at London Fashion Week gave us some major hair envy with flowy ribbons and sparkly clips.
Rhinestone hair clips at Ashley Williams
Confused what hair clip to wear? Wear ’em all! Ashley Williams’ show proved to be a game changer when it came to accessorising the hair with glittery, studded rhinestone slogan clips which were a definite hit. By far the edgiest hair accessory spotted at the fall 2018 runways!
Glitter clips at Max Mara
Looks like ’tis the season of glitter clips as these studded ‘M’ ones were quite the eye-catchers at Milan Fashion Week Fall 2018. Hairstylist Sam McKnight described the look as an “explosion of feather-like dreads”. Her further went on to add that he gave the hairdo a perfect finish with glittering ‘M’ brooches. We love!
Jewel crowns and headbands at Dolce and Gabbana
The Dolce and Gabbana show was a hair accessory lover’s paradise; there were studded crowns, laced veils and much more, much like their last year’s show where jewel crowns reigned. Wearable? Probably not. Statement-making? Hell yeah!
Hats at Dior
From the Dior Berets to the Dior Baker Boy—headgear by the fashion house has come a long way. The Baker Boy hat is a casual, chic hair accessory that dominated the runway at Paris Fashion Week. In fact, Cara Delevingne who was seated in the front-row rocked it over her pixie too. Cute!
What do you think of all the hair accessories spotted on the fall 2018 runways?
