Celebrities today are conscious of fast fashion and make no bones about recycling their outfits even at important events. In light of the sustainable fashion movement and green carpets, we are completely in favour of celebs recycling their outfits. So, we decided to curate a list of our favourite celebs who have aced the recycling game like a boss.
Princess Diana recycled her outfits long before it became cool! The lady was way ahead of time in so many ways. One such quality of hers was being able to recycle her outfits with utmost grace and panache. Even today, Diana continues to inspire fashionistas with her timeless style.
This list would be incomplete without the Duchess of Cambridge on it! Kate Middleton is known to tastefully repeat her outfits but the fact that she chose to recycle an outfit for a wedding in the family read that of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s, certainly deserves a special mention.
Rihanna chose this black Alexander Wang crop top to flaunt her abs more than once and we totally approve of it. While she styled it with black shorts for the first appearance, she teamed it with a pencil skirt the second time around. Needless to say, we approve of both the looks.
When the first lady of fashion herself approves of a trend then there is no denying it. Anna Wintour the editor-in-chief of Vogue started repeating her outfits for public events back in 2008. In fact she was quoted saying, “I usually wear the same dress twenty times, and I even recommend it.” Let’s just say, she truly is our fashion icon.
Another boss lady who repeats her outfits with equal panache is Michelle Obama. We especially loved her white sequin dress by J. Mendel that she repeated twice back in 2012.
Closer home we have fewer examples. But the first name that comes to mind is Miss Badass Kangana Ranaut who has always believed in redefining the rules of the industry. One of the first Indian actresses to recycle her outfits, Kangana is the queen of styling and restyling the same outfits to create multiple looks.
