Vintage prints and trends are making a comeback and we’re seeing a lot of plaid and tartan everywhere! It’s almost as if these never left us (especially trends like the 90s grunge plaid)But the original vintage 70s plaid is back in its purest form. Fall brings with it, deeper colour palettes, textures and outerwear variants. It’s interesting to see every designer’s fresh new take on the trend and what they bring to the table each year. From trenches to dresses to trousers, this season is all about plaid! Here are some of our most favourite plaid trends from the runways that we’re crushing on.

Paco Rabanne

Paco Rabanne

The Paco Rabanne Autumn Winter 2017 ready-to-wear collection showcased this stunning plaid power suit in a solid blue. We absolutely loved it!

Missoni

Missoni

The Missoni AW 2017 collection ‘Inverno’ showcased an array of outerwear out of which we’ve picked our fave; this tube dress that’s a combination of a number of colours with a neckline that is irresistible.

Jenny Packham

Jenny Packham

Her Fall 2017 collection was majorly inspired by the olden British times. It was a modern take on the classic usage of tartan plaids, flowy as well as structured silhouettes and a broad colour palette consisting of everything from bright tangerines to pale blues.

Tory Burch

Tory Burch

This effortless print on print ensemble was spotted at the Tory Burch Fall 2017 ready-to-wear runway show. Knit sweater top paired with plaid pants is an unconventionally stunning combination that you should be trying out this winter.

Yet again, Tory’s collection showcased this plaid on plaid layered look that caught our eye. Taking all the vintage elements of a classic plaid skirt paired with an oversized sweater is a unique take on the 70s fashion.

It’s evident that the 70s plaid has ruled the runways and has been a favourite of many. How are you styling plaids this season?
