Set in one of Mumbai’s crème de la crème locales, once you’re in the Marc Cain store, you can’t miss how architecturally contemporary it is. And you already start feeling like this is a true international shopping experience.

About Marc Cain
All of seven years old in the Indian fashion market, German brand Marc Cain is a perfect midpoint between premium and luxury. Imagine a cross between London Camden and a fancy Rio carnival, somewhere intersecting with a cold night in Paris.

There’s something for everyone here. As Rajni Nayak, Label Manager for Marc Cain, says, “the Marc Cain woman lives in the modern world, is self-confident, open and curious. She expresses herself through what she wears - naturally and confidently.”

What to expect
From pretty watercolour florals and wild forest leaves to digital animal prints, played down straight to your basic stripes and polkas, this is one of the best stores to feed your print fetish. Occasionally you will chance upon a frumpy graphic tee that you’ve had an overdose of already, but that’s easily overlooked amidst the plethora of great things to find here. Most of the collection is designed in Germany and manufactured in Romania, Italy and Hungary. You know what the means - their quality will hardly disappoint you.

Price Surprise?
There’s one thing though, you can’t come here with a limit on your credit card. While the collection is definitely unique, so is the price. We found a cashmere scarf that Rs. 10,000. Unreasonable? Yes. Gorgeous? Definitely! It was equally hard not to buy a pair of electric blue suede shoes at Rs. 15,000. If you must want to have your Marc Cain loot, listen to our advice - be there on day one of their sale!

Our verdict
Whether you are 13 or 30, Marc Cain will appease your style sense in a way most stores are still trying to. Look for cute shorts from their sports collection, sexy skirts and bodycons from ‘Marc Cain Collections’ and those comfy basic tees from ‘Marc Cain Essentials.’ And when you're really in the mood to indulge, buy that cashmere scarf anyway.
